Alpine Jungle 40" x 30" x 3/4" Framed (single) 2003 ($625.00) You can be genuinely surprised at times by the dense vegetation of the sub-alpine. Any number of small shrubby versions of pine and alpine fir can shade a patch of columbine and windflowers, star flowers, cinqfoil, heather and so on. This picture is freely painted in the manner of my old teacher, Arthur Lismer.
