Headwaters

Headwaters 36"x 24" 2005 SOLD A clear blue sky rising forever with just a few puffy clouds hugging Mount Andromeda near the toe of the Athabasca Glacier. The Columbia Icefields feed a number of major rivers, including the Athabasca which starts here in Jasper National Park and flows to the Arctic Ocean after irrigating the north western Candian Prairies. It all starts with the ice-water streams at the bottom of the picture. A moraine created by the glacier is seen in the near left-centre foreground.
