Old Mill

Old Mill 36" x 24" x 3/4" Single Frame 2004 SOLD The McClure Mill in Chesley, ON still stands and still is a working mill. It is by a favorite walking path over the old railroad bridge spanning the Saugeen River. My parents retired there many years ago and enjoyed the walk frequently, as did their children during visits to their home. The last survivor, my mother, died at the age of 93 in 2004. This painting was of a photograph I took during a walk after her funeral in late March. There was still some snow in the bush, but the ice was off the water.
