Castle in the Clouds

Castle in the Clouds 24" x 36" Acrylic on Canvas 2008 (Donation) Castle Mountain is one of the iconic mountains of Banff National Park. It's on the highway between Banff and Lake Louise. Its distinctive castle-like form is somewhat obscured in the picture by a large single cloud. Renamed as Mount Eisenhower, tradition persisted and it is once again officially Castle Mountain. I first saw it on a train way back in the 50's and its image always stuck with me. I hope to paint a larger cloudless Castle one day.
